I remember the first time I trusted a record review.

July 16th, 2006

I trusted two, I don’t remember why. I bought Spiritualized’s “Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space” and Yo La Tengo’s “I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One,” one from Music Millenium and the other from Everyday Music (both in Portland). Those were significant music decisions to me, and those are great albums. It was my junior year of college, and it was the start of the music thread in my life. Music mattered more.

It would be really interesting to know why you trusted the reviews. Had you never heard of those bands beforehand or did the review just send you over the edge of wanting to buy it?
