Being a librarian can be fun: Google’s Image Labeler

Found this last weekend: it’s a game that matches you up with a partner and shows one image at a time. Each of you guess labels for that image, and when both of you guess the same label you move on to the next image. Each image you both guess earns you 100 points, which aren’t anything except 100 points. Yah. It’s still fun, at least, for me. Check it out at http://images.google.com/imagelabeler/, and think of how this could be used in a local news situation…
