It runs out of the same area and was owned by the late Ralph Epperson. Anytime I am in the area (and when the wind blows just right in Winston-Salem) I tune in and listen. I like 98.1 for the same reasons you do, but I much prefer the older bluegrass. Bill Monroe, Ralph Stanley, etc. Some of the newer stuff isn't getting it for me.
