Made it.
October 24th, 2006
I’ve got a new zip code (80204), a new extension at my office number (1057), and a new skyline.
In the past 16 days I travelled 6880 miles (more than half done in my hardy Honda Civic hatchback). This incuded a wedding, a visit with my dad’s side of the family (four separate visits), two stops in New York City to visit friends, and one long drive across more than half of the country (it’s a good story, I’m going to tell it in its own entry soon).
The view from my new cubicle’s pretty sweet — we’ve got these panoramic windows in the newsroom, and I’m watching the sun go down on the Rocky Mountains right now. It’s my second day of work.

Looks like you’re off to a great start Joe. Man, you’ve done more miles than Karen and I! It’s encouraging to know when one of our customers enjoys their new home and job. I guess we left just in time, though, before the blizzard hit. Hope it didn’t make things too difficult for you. I Googled the Denver weather scene, and guess who popped up? The Post- with some great info and photos of the latest snowy delights!
Best wishes, bro. Keep on bloggin…

Oh, yeah. I forgot. We should be posting the interview that Karen did with you soon. For the next few days things are kind of busy, but I’ll try to send you a message when we add it to our podast.
:p

Heyyy, how ’bout that new climate?
In all sincereity, I miss snow. But I’m not sure I would like it in such volume so early.

Hey Joe! We miss you. My liquor cabinet misses you. I’m really happy that your Civic made it to Denver. I’ve never quite driven a car I wouldn’t give $50 for, but i’m SO GLAD I fixed it by doing donuts and tearing down Monmouth. Is she still runnin’ good? LOVE, mk (look at daniel in a beatle wig: http://www.lame-oh.com/2006/11/02/daniel-in-a-bleeping-beatle-wig/)

Ken: Cool! I’m looking forward to it.
Esbee, yeah, I was still in denial it wasn’t summer when I came here… that didn’t last long.

I just want to note for the record that I do, in fact, know how to spell “sincerity”.
Let the record so reflect.

Joe the last paragraph in this entry makes me jealous. I only assume that the rockies have their white caps on now.

Mary K: Yeah, I’m going to write more about the wonder-car. You’re blogging again! Sweet!
Nick: I bought a snowboard Sunday, and a mountain pass to ski four slopes unlimited. I’m not going to start until my health insurance kicks in, but, yeah, there’s about six slopes already open up there now…
