About that election night…

November 8th, 2006

Turns out the newsroom isn’t the most exciting place to be at. I spent some time setting up the webcam to broadcast the state Democrat’s election-night party, and that place, combined with the hotel-room parties I only heard about, well, that was the place to be.

My recommendation for the future: Figure out which party is going to be the winner that night, and crash that party.

I have to agree. The newsroom on election night? The most exciting thing that happened in OUR newsroom was when I started shrieking semi-hysterically at a gas-bag editor (who was confidently going on about how the Democrats had this thing completely sewn up) “Shut up! Shut up! You’re going to ruin everything!”
