Blue Ridge Country and the ask/receive gambit

November 27th, 2006

Heck, it was only two months ago when I wrote about how I wished Blue Ridge Country 98.1 FM had live streaming of their stuff. And now they do. Sweet. This is particularly handy now that I’m not living in North Carolina. I recommend tuning in Friday nights between 6 and 10 p.m., East Coast time.

Awww, so you DO miss Winston-Salem, or at least you DID. Such a kickass station.

We miss ya Joe! WOW, I had no idea you were into 98.1!! I am not a fan of any country music newer than from 1975. 98.1 is great. You won’t hear Merle Haggard, Hank I, or George Jones on any of the crappy new country stations here. Down with Clearchannel!

Hey Ed! Ha, yeah, I didn’t like much country music until I heard that station. It’s awesome. I just found Hank Williams’ Luke the Drifter album, which is pretty awesome too.

Blue Ridge Country rocks. I’m not a big country fan, but there’s something special about listening to old-timey country in the rain shadow of the Appalachians.
We miss you over here in Dixie.
