Haiku Summer

June 9th, 2007

Yes, yes, the summer.
And we rip through its months
Like christmas morning.

My apologies to the non-x-mas celebrating kids out there. So, this haiku-thing picked up waves here with this lady’s Everyday Haiku. I noticed it, and she’s doing it every day, which means other people noticed it too.

Then just five days ago, the Denver Post started a weekly haiku contest. A new theme every week. The first theme: Cats. As of Thursday more than 150 people had sent in haikus. Some sent in more than one.

There’s something about haikus.

There’s something about cats. I mean, they’re ok. But some people are crazy about them!
