Election night 2007

November 7th, 2007

I’ve spent three of the past four fiirst-Tuesday-in-November-nights working on online election coverage. Each of those have been challenging — 2004 it was just dealing with all the information, 2006 was figuring out the streaming video shtuff, and this year, even though it was an off year, had a last-minute data thrill: We decided to boost our online election results reporting from 15 races to 180. That took a lot of work from a lot of people to pull off. You can check the results of that on the Post’s website here. If there were ever some sort of national cut-and-paste competition I’m dead certain I’d place in the top three.
