Four things a disc jockey could be thinking if nobody’s dancing at the party that they’re spinning at:
January 2nd, 2008
New Year’s Eve I witnissed a dj spin to a crowd of 50 people, and zero dancers. Not just zero for a song or two, but zero for most every song. I like putting myself in my enemy’s head, so here’s a list of the four things I came up with that dj could have possibly been thinking:
- “Maybe this next song is the one that will get the people dancing.”
- “I’m not here to get the people dancing.”
- “These people and their legs don’t understand my music. My music must be of a higher quality than any they have seen.”
- “I don’t care.”
There were other djs in the evening, and dance-offs, head-butts and jumping contests were had. Happy 2008, y’all~
