It was all about corn farmers in the United States and the last thirty or forty years of the corn industry — sounds like a real snoozer, right? It’s not. It explains obesity, diabetes, the current state of vending machines, 7-11s, […]

JJ, whose photo portfolio web site I built, is selling a book of his detailed Chicago photography for 30 bucks. Thirty bucks! That makes a great gift!

I’ve spent three of the past four fiirst-Tuesday-in-November-nights working on online election coverage. Each of those have been challenging — 2004 it was just dealing with all the information, 2006 was figuring out the streaming video shtuff, and this year, even though it was an off year, had a last-minute data thrill: We decided to […]

He wore a hospital-style info bracelet.
He was […]

So says Forbes. Denver’s ranked on the top of Forbes’ “Best Cities for Singles” list three years in a row, until this one. Forbes says it’s the methodology that caused Denver’s plummet. I wrote more about it on the Denver Post Neighbors blog.

Saturday a bunch of local bands played the Denver Post Underground Music Festival, which was the biggest local music fest I’ve ever seen, and the most fun I’ve had on a Saturday in Denver. So much good stuff. Here are the ‘most interesting’ Flickr photos from the event. These are the ones I took. And […]
